Myth #1: Getting a Tooth Pulled is Very Painful<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The idea of needing a tooth extracted is enough to make most people wince. It seems like a tough treatment that you wouldn\u2019t want to wish on anyone. However, it is sometimes necessary to preserve your oral health.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The good news is that your dentist makes the process comfortable for you. You’re given a powerful local anesthetic that numbs that area of your mouth. After you can’t feel much of anything, a special tool is used to gently loosen your tooth. Afterward, your dentist will grab it with forceps and slowly remove it! Many say that they felt some pressure during the procedure, but it wasn’t outright pain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Myth #2: Wisdom Teeth Have to be Extracted<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

In the past, this myth was true. But as dentists began to understand more and more about how to take better care of their patients, it was no longer deemed necessary.
